In addition, when using these particular services, you shall be subject to any posted guidelines or rules applicable to such services. Any participation in this service will constitute acceptance of this agreement. If you do not agree to abide by the above, please do not use this service.

As this website uses several services run by Alphabet Incorporated (“Google”, “Google’s”) and is hosted on a Google server, use of this service also means that you are bound by applicable passages of Google’s terms and conditions which can be found here.

INFORMATION COLLECTION

This site contains a Google Analytics tag that logs non personally-identifiable data about your use of this site. You have the right to disable the tag if you are not comfortable with this.

By logging into the site, you agree to the condition that the following pieces of information will be shared with GeoGenius:

• Your name as specified in the Google account you logged in with
• The email address of the Google account you logged in with
• The preference of the Google account you logged in with
• Your Google account’s profile picture.

Once you create an account, a unique user ID will be created for you. When you are logged in, the following data will be stored under your user ID:

• Your past responses to questions on the site's daily quiz
• The validity of your past responses to quizzes on this site
• Timestamps for all instances in which you have conducted any of the following actions:
• Viewed the quiz archive
• Started the daily quiz
• Finished the daily quiz
• Signed in for the first time

The categories of data stored under your user ID are subject to change at any time.

If you confirm the deletion of your account, the data stored under your former user ID is not erased. However, the record of your former user ID is erased so all the data stored under your former user ID will become untraceable.

If after deleting your account you sign in again, a new user ID is created for you that is completely separate from your former user ID(s).

USE OF INFORMATION

Data collected via Google Analytics is used in order to inform us about the usage of this site in order to develop the site’s content.

Data stored under your user ID is used in order to provide a personalized experience to you, the user (i.e. for purposes such as storing quiz results and allowing you to access the daily quiz). Timestamp data that is recorded under your ID is used for website testing and debugging purposes.

OTHER TERMS

This site is run by a group of high school students from within the United States of America ("US"). Relevant clauses of US copyright, intellectual property, and Internet protocol laws are assumed to apply to this site.
